The registration slip carries a unique reference number, patient details and test details with the date and time of issue of reports. All the work stations are connected by LAN, the users have individual passwords. The machines handling large volume of work have bidirectional inter-phasing and bar-coding. The test results are verified by consultants online and are authenticated for auto printing, thus minimizing transcription errors. The generated report specifies the time of specimen received and the date of printing. The patient details are followed by the lab report along with the biological reference ranges.
